My Mom’s Birthday
My mom’s birthday will be on December 12 so we have the perfect gift for our mother. Since she work so hard at home and work and give the support for my post secondary education, we decided to take her to a spa and message treatment. We don’t know where will we find the perfect spa or how much will we spend on the gives, but we all agree to split the money in haft. My sister says we need to find the perfect spa treatment for mom but I don’t have that much money since I rarely go to work, thanks to my school.
Also, we will dine in mom’s favorite restaurant. She likes beef soup. Then we go to the movies that she want. She doesn’t know what movie she want to watch, but I don’t like watching on big screens.
Yes, it will be the best birthday we will ever give for our mom. Happy Birthday!!!
Touhou
I am playing this cool game called Touhou Project I found in the internet much lately. Too bad it’s a demo, but already it’s very hard with all the nice bullets I have to evade. Also It makes my eyes dry and strains more so I could concentrate on the fast moving bullets, so I have to stop playing for a couple a days to rest my eyes. And the colorful bullets makes me wanna throw up for some reason. (Seizures!) I am not an expert on this game, so I always go one Easy mode till I get the beat.
Yes, I become a fan of Touhou because of this…and Youtube… Hopefully I can buy the full version in the internet, maybe Paletweb.
Term 3
Wow! It seems Term 2 will be finish next week, but it’s done for like 4 months. It’s as if time pass by so quickly! However, Term 3 will begin next week, without breaks. Darn!
So we just finish Project Portfolio, now we wait for December 6 for the next Project Portfolio. We still need to finish 2 more class, then it will be over. Yeah right! We start our new class next week, like right away. Well at least there will be Christmas break and the Olympus break in the upcoming class week. Although we start our next term, we need to get started with our Demo reel.
What I think about 3D Rendering…
What I think of rendering the whole scene? It sucks!!! Yeah. It takes a whole day to render 250 frames for the finishing touch. Imagine if I make a 500 frames plus 5 different scenes with different camera angles and don’t forget, the ambient occlusion to render? It will be like a week or 2 to render the whole scene. I can’t wait that long to finish this, especially for the final demo reel.
Luckily my classmates recommend me to find Renderman, the fastest way to render. Unfortunately, it’s not cheap. It cost almost $1000 to buy. Luckily, as a student in Digital Animation, I can get a discount for this. Then I won’t have to worry about how long it will render.
Halloween is Coming
Yes! Halloween is coming. It’s my third favorite holiday, two would be Thanksgiving and Christmas. Anyway, I’m going to wear a bunny ears, yes, bunny ears, but I’m not gonna tell the rest. Hopefully it doesn’t rain so me and my sister can go to Playland for Fright Night. Otherwise, we hang out in the mall or at the mall.
Tomorrow our group will present our final presentation for our last Career Prep class. Our project will be so funny, I guarantee it will. I’m kinda nervous presenting to the whole class. I’m very shy and I have short-term memory. I don’t think I can memorize the whole line without trying not to laugh. Hopefully I can pull this through.

Shiny!
Lost Voice
Oh no! I lost my voice! I don’t know what happened but I can’t seem to speak loud. I don’t know why but yesterday, my throat felt very itchy and soar. When I cough, it felt very painful, sometimes I cough very rough till I can’t breathe.
I don’t know what to do now, but hopefully I will get my voice by tomorrow. If not, I have to go to the doctor. If you notice if I’m not talking a lot in school, then it’s because I can’t speak.
And I’m not sick anymore…
A bit of cold…
I’m feeling under the whether, thanks to my brother who has the cold. Fortunately I feel quite better after I went home from work.
What I do at work? I make coffee and hot chocolates to the thirsty people who want caffeine in their bodies. (Except for the hot chocolate.) I have to wake up early to go to work and I feel very sheepish, even with the cold with me. There are a lot of people at work, mostly families who wants to watch hockey games. The hardest part of work is working with a newbie who doesn’t understand about coffee and communicating with a newbie is very difficult for me, especially that I can’t speak clearly to them.
After work, I went to Stanley Park for a rest, then go to Lost Lagoon to see the ducks. I wanted to take a picture of them for my assignment for school, but they are all over the place and they’re too complicated to make a story when they just swim and eat, and other stuff that I saw, but not telling you because it’s deem inappropriate. Instead, I take pictures of sceneries and plant that will be great for texturing.
Today was a good day, with clear skies and warm weather, except for the cold that’s ruining my day. Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow, again.
Furnace
Last week, my parents have replaced the old furnace with the new one.
It happened when the heater wasn’t working very well and the water is getting colder. As winter is coming very soon they hired some maintenace workers clean what’s blocking the heaters. It turns out that the furnace is very old, around 50 years, and says that it needs to be replace with a new one.
The next day, the workers came to replaced the new furnace. Unfortunately, the furnace is to big and needs to connect to the other heaters. So they cut a hole from the other wall to fit the furnace and connecting the heaters. When they saw the wall, the house shook a little. It was so loud that it made my ears ring. It was pretty hectic around while fixing it. Very interesting though that both of the workers have the same first name, even if they are not relative to each other. But they both look very alike as they were twins, maybe separated at birth or something.
After the maintenance the new furnace was installed. The heating was approved and less noisy than the old ones. However, it leave a hole for the pipe to connect the heaters, which leave a bit of an eye sore. Nevertheless, it was worth it. However, the maintenance workers are coming back to check on the furnace, so it wasn’t finished yet.
Visitors
Late last night we have an expected visitors from America and will be sleeping in our house in about 2 days. So I have to share my bed to mom and I have to sleep on the floor. Mom kept snoring while I tried to sleep with all that snore. This morning, mom woke up early to prepare the food for the party for tonight while I kept sleeping till around 11:00 am.
While my parents talk what to bring for the party, I was thinking if I can still finish my homework in time. I’m almost done with the human model, but I have to redo the hand since it was mistakenly delete while I was cleaning my USB. And I’m stuck with my cover letter; I don’t know what else to say in my cover letter.
The worse part is that I have work tonight. While everyone’s enjoying the party, I have to suffer at work, doing whatever I was assigned for. (Hopefully in the coffee stand.) Due to my lack of sleep, I might fall asleep at work. I don’t want that to happen, especially with all the hazardous materials around me. I wish the event will be done quickly so I can go home to finish my homework.
